TEACHING
Curriculum: Higher Vista Learning. Additional curriculum for all levels and all ages. Interactive Spanish classes for adults using Higher Vista Learning with the "Portales" book will prioritize active engagement, communication, and the use of technology to create a stimulating and effective learning environment. You'll be actively using the Spanish language from the start, building confidence and fluency through a variety of dynamic activities that complement the textbook material.
Group lesson 3-5 students
$45 per hour per student
-Conversation classes included besides the one hour class.
-Flango.com: a service that provides digital readers for Spanish including native audio, comprehension question, & vocabulary.
-Levels: Beginners to Advanced.
-Classes available in person and online.
-All ages welcome.
-Homework given each class.
One-on-one lessons
$65 per hour per student

The Spanish Conversation Club (Club de Conversación en Español)
$30 for 30 minutes per student
-Spanish Conversation practice. Engaging in dialogues on different topics; such as, Conversational Spanish for travel or a specific interest. Tailored to your specific needs.
-Levels: Beginners to Advanced.
-All ages welcome.
-In person and online.
-Social gathering with literary undertones (Tertulia de Español).
Homeschool groups & children under 10 (Group classes)
$35 for 30 minutes per student
By combining these methods, I will create a fun, natural, and effective learning environment that fosters a love for the Spanish language in children under ten:
-Games.
-Fun.
-Spanish music/songs & dance.
-Immersion & consistent exposure.
-Arts & crafts.
-Interactive storytelling.
-Reading.
-Positive reinforcement with patience and consistency. Remember: Language learning takes time. Even short, regular exposure is more effective than infrequent, long sessions.
TUTORING
One-on-one tutoring offered in person and on-line. Hitting a snag on a particular topic from your Spanish classes? I will be your supporting system designed to clarify and solidify that specific concept you are finding challenging. I will provide a clear an alternative explanation of the concept using different analogies, or visual aids that what was presented in class. I will break it down in a way that resonates with your individual learning style.
One-on-one tutoring
$50 an hour per student
Levels: Beginners to Advanced welcome for all ages.
Important Information Regarding Spanish Teaching & Spanish Tutoring
We want to ensure you have a clear understanding of the Spanish services I offer.
Please be aware that tutoring sessions are defined as instructional support provided in conjunction with active Spanish classes and/or ongoing assignments from a teacher (weekly homework/tests, etc).
During breaks from regular schooling, such as the summer, when there are no concurrent classes, sessions will be classified as Spanish classes. This distinction helps me tailor the curriculum & approach appropriately.
INTERPRETATION/TRANSLATION SERVICES
Interpretation and translation services offered in person and on-line.
INTERPRETATION SERVICES
$70 per two hours in New Bern, NC. Contact me for pricing in surrounding areas.
English to Spanish & Spanish to English Interpretation (Simultaneous, consecutive, whispered, liaison, over-the-phone, and video-remote) for meetings, conferences, medical appointments, and legal proceedings.
TRANSLATION SERVICES
$25-$65 per page (approximate 250 words each page depending on the complexity of the text).
English to Spanish & Spanish to English translations (general, literary, technical, and legal).
URGENT TRANSLATIONS
$0.05 - $0.15 more per word.
The tighter the deadline, the higher the rush fee. A translation needed within a few hours will obviously cost more than one needed within 24 hours. A short, simple document can be rushed more easily than a long, highly technical one. The longer and more complex the document, the higher the rush fee will likely be.
